Game of Thrones: Some Best Moments to Remember

Who is not familiar with this show?

It was one show that was always a point of discussion among large groups of people.

It was such a popular show.

In fact, it still is.

And why not?

It was indeed a great show with an amazing cast and some great scenes.

Covering up who showed in one post is not possible. So, I would like to share my review and some moments that are still fresh in my mind.

Best Characters in the Show

Ned Stark

Game of Thrones has a very long list of characters, of which Ned Stark is the top one for me.

He was such a nice and humble person who was loyal to his position and did his best to protect his family.

Sadly, his character was ended quite soon, but his death was the time after which Game of Thrones actually started.

His death scene was heartbreaking and epic at the same time.

It was the base of the whole show, in my opinion.

Theon Greyjoy

Game of Thrones was able to make us fall in love with the characters that we used to hate in the beginning.

Theon Greyjoy is one of the classic examples over here.

Such a disaster he was at the start, but remember what happened later?

We all fell in love with him and felt so bad for him.

There were times that I felt like going inside the screens somehow and just helping that boy.

Alfie Allen did such an amazing job playing this character.

In such a situation, how can we forget the one who did all this to him?

Ramsay

a total badass.

He was the evilest character I’ve ever seen.

A complete mess enjoys torturing others. His death scene was quite satisfactory, as we can see fear in his voice along with the same attitude he had since the beginning.

His character is not easy to forget, as he still gives many people nightmares.

Another character that I really enjoyed was Aarya’s teacher, No One.

Best description of him so far. He was an amazing character in the whole series for me. I loved the coldheartedness and calmness on his face, which is very difficult to maintain all the time.

Aarya did become something extraordinary because of the things he taught her.

These are some of the most interesting characters for me in the Game of Thrones series. I wish they were given more screen time, but even if in such a small amount of time, they made us all fall in love with them.

These guys certainly have a level.

Now, let’s talk about some of the

The Most Painful Deaths in the Show

Hodor

Or, we can say:

Hold the door.

He was such a sweet character in the show who only spoke one word:

Hodor

That’s it.  This character was not an important or a leading character but died as a hero.

What a painful scene that was. He was always respectful, loyal, and kind to others, and it was out of his loyalty that he sacrificed his own life for Bran Stark.

In that scene, we realized that throughout the whole series, he was actually saying:

Hold the door, not Hodor.

Great scene + marvelous acting!

Both the adult and young actors.

Let's take a look at the scene:

Shireen Baratheon

Another cute and innocent character who was killed by a bunch of lunatics She always loved her family and did her best to support them in every possible way.

Unfortunately, the world doesn’t realize it and takes such people for granted.

That’s what happened to her as well.

I always thought that Shireen’s mother was the only one who was cruel to her, but I was surprised by what Stannis did to her. Honestly, I was on his side at first and thought he deserved the throne more than the others.

But I was wrong.

He was awful and disgusting.

Indeed, the greediest one out of all burned her own daughter alive for power.

Shireen didn’t deserve this at all.

Tommen Baratheon

Another innocent character became a victim of this whole power game.

He wanted a normal life where he could live peacefully, but the people in his surroundings wanted violence, especially her mother.

His death was more of a murder than a suicide.

Doesn’t it?

Some people say he had such a foolish and weak character, but I disagree.

Tomen was a child who was given a responsibility for which he was not only not ready but also not interested.

So how can we blame him?

He just couldn’t take it anymore.

Cersei’s other children were murdered by others, but this one was killed by herself.

This brings me to:

Some moments that gave us goosebumps

Olenna Tyrell's Death Scene

She was such a well-written character in the show who was both polite and sharp. From her very first scene to the last one, she did an amazing job playing her character.

Out of all the deaths we had, Olenna Tyrell died with an attitude.

There was satisfaction in her eyes while revealing what he did with Joffery.

She didn’t have any guilt, and why should she?

Joffery deserved that.

While we see calmness in her attitude, we see the very opposite in the case of Jamie. He was totally helpless over there, and all he could do was walk away.

That’s what happened.

An end to a legendary character!

In that scenario, how can we forget the

Death scene of Margaery Tyrell

What an unexpected scene that was.

Cersei planned to kill so many of her enemies all at once.

Of course, both of them never get along. The scenes in which Margarey annoyed Cersei were so funny and worth remembering.

Surprisingly, Cersei handled the whole situation with patience, as she was going for it.

What Daenerys did in the finale, Cersei showed us a demo of in this epic scene.

Blood Wedding

How can we forget that scene?

Two other important members of Stark’s family were killed unexpectedly in a single scene.

That was one of the most shocking scenes in Game of Thrones history.

The moment Robb Stark was killed, Catalyn died too, from the inside.

The moment her throat was cut, we saw her dead eyes that were not afraid or caring for anything anymore.

This brings me to another massacre:

Jon Snow vs. the Night King

Night King: A classic character of the show

Everyone in the room felt both scared and happy while he was there.

This scene has always been my favorite.

Why?

  • Night King’s attitude
  • the background music, and
  • The complete silence at the ending

I loved him so much, but unfortunately, his character didn’t have a great ending.

But his character will always be remembered.

Moving on to one of the greatest moments:

Sansa and Jon Snow Reunion

That was a moment we were all waiting for.

What a powerful scene that was.

They didn’t speak a single word; they just nailed it with their expressions.

I felt really happy for Jon Snow, as he was given the respect and importance that he deserved from the beginning.

Now, let’s make our mood lighter with:

The Most Hilarious Moments of the Show

Unexpected slaps are funny and terrifying.

Remember this scene:

An unpredictable but most-awaited moment

Tyrion and Joffrey had their own moments, which cannot be described in words. Surely these two will never get along, no matter what.

Joffrey was a person who truly haunted others, except for Tyrion. In fact, he was scared of his uncle, who slapped him multiple times in front of others while leaving him shocked and speechless.

We had a scene in which Cersei also slapped Jofferey; that was a terrifying moment, not funny.

While Tyrion’s slaps were funny, especially this one.

I loved the shock that Joffery had with every slap he had and, of course, the voice we heard from him.

How can we not mention Tyrion’s expressions here?

Simply, Wow.

He was calm and having fun while teaching his arrogant nephew a valuable lesson.

No matter how many times you watch it, this scene will never get old.

Now, let’s talk about the

Love Stories in Game of Thrones

I would like to highlight all those couples that I really enjoyed in the whole show.

Starting with:

Jon Snow and Ygritte

A simple line from the brief relationship they had in the show is:

You know nothing, Jon Snow.

Since the beginning, I have loved Jon Snow’s character because of his innocence and kindness. I used to be very angry with Catalyn because of her rude behaviour with him, which he always endured in a very respectful manner.

We all wanted to see good things come his way, which happened when Ygritte's character was introduced.

Finally, Jon Snow also had someone in his life with whom he could open up.

But unfortunately, good times are short, as always.

We didn’t see more of them, and their love story came to an end when Ygritte died.

Her death scene was so heartbreaking and emotional. Both actors had great expressions throughout the whole scene.

Ygritte had anger in her eye, while Jon Snow had happiness and relief to see her in front of him.

I am a big fan of this couple and have never loved Jon Snow with the Deans. Ygritte was a perfect match for him, and as a character herself, she was great.

I love this couple.

Moving on to:

Jamie and Brienne

I am still so disappointed that the writers didn’t make them the endgame and destroyed Jamie’s character again.

Why?

They were adorable and the right match for each other.

But Jamie couldn’t just get it and go back to her toxic and unrealistic love life.

Even though this is a fictional story, I always felt so uncomfortable during the intimate scenes between Cersei and Jamie.

That was disgusting.

With Brienne, he seems to be right, as she was able to bring out the best in him.

He became one of the best characters in the show.

That was the turning point for his character.

He was now a hero and had his redemption scenes.

He asks for forgiveness from Bran, tries his best to help Tyrion, and supports Jon Snow in the battle with the Night King.

I still can’t get why his character didn’t get a fair ending.

Speaking about his relationship with Brienne, it was the best.

Jamie fell for her a long time ago but still chose to be with Cersei while Brienne served her life as a man, as she always was.

We were all waiting for them to get together, but that thing ended very quickly, making the whole audience disappointed.

The most magical scene of them for me was this:

Jamie’s expression over here says everything.

For me, this was one of the finest and most genuine love stories in the whole show.

Moving on to the next couple:

Khal Drago and Khaleesi

Their chemistry was quite obvious in their very first scene; however, at that stage, Khal Drago was shown as an abuser. But later on, things got different between them, and he treated her with respect and love rather than as a sexual object.

I really don’t know how their relationship is explained in the books, as I haven’t read them, but I really enjoyed them on the screen.

Khal Drago did become another favourite character of the show, but sadly, he didn’t last long.

However, this couple seems very realistic to me.

I have been a fan of theirs since their first scene:

This is such a powerful scene, as here we have seen innocence and fear in Daenerys, which later turned into something else.

Khal Drago being a scary guy not only terrified her but also all the audience.

His death was also very painful and unexpected, but in that moment, Daenerys realised that there was no turning back for her and chose to continue her journey without him.

A scene in which Khal Drago came into his imagination with their son was such a magical scene.

They did love each other, but life was not fair to them.

In the meantime, we got:

Ser Jorah and Daenerys

No matter what other people say, I do ship them regardless of the age difference or any other reasons. Of course, Daenerys could never love him the way he did, but she always kept him by her side and treated him with respect.

I did feel bad for Ser Jorah, but unfortunately, these things happen.

He always had the desire to be with her, which could never be fulfilled, and we cannot blame Daenerys over here.

We cannot force anyone to love us.

I am happy that she never took his feelings for granted and has always respected him.

The best scene of them, in my opinion:

The best expressions by both of them

Indeed, Ser Jorah loved her unconditionally, but he always respected her and never tried to impose himself on her.

He died as a legend as he was protecting her and loving life.

They never became a couple but had a great and respectful one-sided love story.

There is so much more that we can discuss this show, but covering everything at once is not possible.

So, let’s wrap it up and come to:

The End of Game of Thrones

Most people didn’t like the ending of the show; in fact, they hated it. The show faced a lot of criticism over it, which is still going on.

But there was a small group of audience members who liked it too.

I will say that it was okay.

Yes, it wasn’t good, but on the other hand, it wasn't too bad.

Why?

Let’s see the facts here:

It all happened because Daenerys lost her mind and became a mad queen.

We all saw it coming when she burned Varys alive, killed Samwell’s father, and killed other members when they refused to accept her as their queen.

She has already lost her mind, so Missandei’s death is just the cherry on top.

There is no doubt that throughout the show, Daenerys has gone through a lot, and there comes a point where she just can’t take it anymore.

That’s what happened to her.

Of course, we didn’t want this to come from her, but there was always the possibility of it.

That’s the point of the whole thing—how greed for power can totally change a person.

I loved her expressions over here:

Let’s sum up all this with the truth:

She can’t remain any more patient.

That’s the human nature that was shown in the ending.

For me, it was not a perfect ending, but I also didn’t hate it like others.

I just love this scene:

This was the only dragon left, and now it was all alone.

The way it mourns and destroys the throne, for which so many people were killed, is indeed a great scene.

Overall, it was a great show covering every aspect of life, including relationships, friendships, love affairs, emotions, hardships, taking revenge, action, and more.
